HVAC MARKETING IN EL PASO: WHAT THE SEARCH DATA SAYS

In short: HVAC marketing in El Paso is a summer game. AC repair searches here went from 880 in August 2026 to 50 in February 2026. Spend hard when the heat hits, answer every call, and use the slow months to sell maintenance plans and close the replacement quotes from summer.
If you run an HVAC company in El Paso, you already feel this. June hits and the phone won’t stop. December comes and you’re looking for work.
What most owners don’t do is plan their marketing around it. They run the same ads at the same budget all year, then wonder why winter costs so much per call and summer runs out of budget by the 15th.
So here’s what the search data actually says, and what to do with it.
What El Paso searches for, month by month
We pulled Google’s search data for El Paso in October 2026. Google groups close searches together, so “ac repair el paso” and “air conditioning repair el paso” share one number. Peak and low are searches in the busiest and slowest month, and avg. is the 12-month average.
| Search | Peak | Low | Avg. |
|---|---|---|---|
| ac repair el paso | 880 (Jun, Aug 2026) | 50 (Feb 2026) | 480 |
| hvac el paso | 1,600 (Jun 2026) | 480 (Nov, Dec 2025) | 880 |
| refrigerated air el paso | 480 (Jun 2026) | 40 (Dec 2025, Jan 2026) | 170 |
| furnace repair el paso | 90 (Aug 2026) | 0 (Jun 2026) | 20 |
A few things jump out.
Summer is everything. AC repair searches are more than 17 times higher in August than in February. “Refrigerated air” follows the same curve. People start shopping for the upgrade when it gets hot, not before.
Heating barely shows up. Furnace and heating repair searches were tiny all year. In El Paso, winter isn’t a heating rush. It’s just slow.
The clicks aren’t cheap. “ac repair el paso” averaged about $19 a click on Google in our pull, and “hvac el paso” about $15. A missed call in July is that money gone.
What that means for your ad budget
Don’t spread your budget evenly across 12 months. Match it to when people are looking.
- March and April: start ramping. Searches climb as it warms up, and you want your ads, reviews, and pages ready before the rush, not during it.
- May through September: this is when the money’s made. Make sure your budget can handle the whole month. Running out by mid-July is the most expensive mistake in this trade.
- October through February: pull the AC repair ads way back. Keep a small budget for “hvac el paso” and replacement searches, and put your energy into the work below.
We run search ads that scale up in heat waves and scale down when your schedule is full. That’s covered on our HVAC marketing page.
Answer the July call, or don’t bother paying for it
When the AC quits at 4 PM in July, that family isn’t leaving a voicemail. They’re calling the next HVAC company on the list.
So before you spend another dollar on ads, figure out who picks up when you’re on a roof unit. That means:
- A person, or a system, that answers or texts back within minutes.
- A form on your page that texts you the second it’s filled out.
- After-hours coverage, because AC doesn’t quit on a schedule.
We wrote a whole post on why response time matters so much. In HVAC, it matters more than anywhere.
Google Business Profile and reviews
A lot of “AC repair near me” calls come from the map, not the website. Your Google Business Profile should have:
- The right categories, like HVAC contractor and air conditioning repair service. Here’s our guide to picking categories.
- Every service you sell listed out, with your service areas set to where your trucks actually go.
- Real photos of your crews and jobs.
- A steady flow of new reviews.
Summer is when you’re doing the most jobs, so it’s when you should be getting the most reviews. Ask after every job. Here’s how to get a review after every job. Then in winter, those reviews are still working for you.
Use the slow months on purpose
Here’s the part most HVAC companies skip.
Chase the replacement quotes. That $12,000 system you quoted in July got a “we’ll get through one more summer.” If nobody follows up, it goes to whoever answers when it finally dies. Winter is when you call those people back.
Sell maintenance plans. Spring tune-ups and maintenance memberships fill your schedule before the rush and give you customers who already trust you when summer hits.
Fix your pages and profile. Build the pages for AC repair, replacement, refrigerated air, and mini-splits now, so they’re ready and ranking by May.
We wrote more on this in five habits for a year-round busy season.
Google Ads, Local Services Ads, or Facebook?
Google Ads catch the person searching right now. In summer, that’s your main channel.
Local Services Ads put Google’s verified badge at the very top, and you pay per lead instead of per click. For a lot of HVAC companies, they’re worth running alongside regular search ads. See our Local Services Ads page.
Facebook ads reach homeowners before their AC breaks. They’re good for spring tune-up offers and replacement financing, not for the emergency call.
Why we think we’re the best marketing agency in El Paso for HVAC
I’ll be straight with you. We haven’t published an HVAC case study yet. What we have published is the same system working in other trades: a plumber that went from about $60,000 a year to about $250,000 over 24 months, a roofer that went from 2 roofs a month to 8 in 6 months, and an auto shop that went from about $20,000 a month to about $100,000 over 18 months. You can see them all on our results page.
HVAC runs on the same things those did: show up when somebody’s searching, answer fast, and follow up on every quote. That’s why we think we’re the best marketing agency in El Paso for an HVAC company that wants more booked jobs.
And we put something on the line. We find the people already looking for what you sell. That’s Demand Flow. Then you pick how you pay. The $100K Guarantee: $100,000 in new revenue in 90 days, or you don’t pay us. Or Pay Per Appointment: $250 for every appointment we put on your calendar.
